Two Best FREE Logo Designing Softwares

13 Nov

Logo designing is a very creative field, if you want to be a logo designer you need to have creative thinking and good color understanding, there are many software out there that can help you create logos but not all of those software are worth learning. Because some software don’t produce quality results which means even if you learn them they will not be helpful in creating awesome business logos.

GIMP

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

Gimp is said to be FREE alternative to Adobe Photoshop ( the most popular image editing software ) although I haven’t used it personally…..but it can be used to create some stunning logos and there are free tutorials for learning GIMP on the internet you can just Google it.

INKSCAPE :

Inkscape is an FREE Vector Graphics Design tool, unlike GIMP which is mostly raster based INKSCAPE is used to create vector graphics.

An Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

Inkscape supports many advanced SVG features (markers, clones, alpha blending, etc.) and great care is taken in designing a streamlined interface. It is very easy to edit nodes, perform complex path operations, trace bitmaps and much more……I have persoally used Inkscape and i think its a pretty good tool to create logos, it can’t replace Illustrator as the leading tool but it has everything in it to make it ideal for creating vector logos .
